Habitat
Harbor seals live along the coastline in North America. They are found on both the Atlantic Ocean and Pacific Ocean coasts. They can also be found in the Baltic and North Seas.
Diet
Fish is the biggest item in the harbor seal diet. They enjoy several kinds of fish, including sea bass, herring, cod, mackerel and others. Sometimes they will eat shrimp, crabs or squid as well.
Harbor seals sometimes spend several days at sea and travel long distances to find food. Sometimes they will even swim upstream into freshwater in rivers.

Movement
Harbor seals move their back flippers from side to side to move forward. They can travel up to 11 miles per hour. When on land, harbor seals cannnot rotate their back flippers. So to move on land, harbor seals move in a caterpillar-like motion.

Enemies
Harbor seals are hunted by killer whales (orcas), polar bears, sharks, Steller sea lions, walruses, eagles, and coyotes.
