Habitat
Puffins are diving birds that live in the Arctic waters of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. They live on coastal cliffs or islands nesting in cracks in the rocks or burrows in the grounds.
Diet
Puffins mainly eat fish. They can hold several fish in their beak at one time -- sometimes up to twelve fish. This lets them take longer hunting trips before coming back to their chicks.
Movement
Puffins fly low over the ocean's surface by beating their wings 400 times per minute. Their short wings also allow them to swim underwater by using their wings like they are flying.
